“Oxhey Bowls Club is a remarkably friendly lawn bowls club, tucked away behind Watford Heath, near Bushey, South of Watford. We have a six-rink outdoor green in a quiet setting – and a clubhouse with a bar. We currently have around 70 playing members, plus about 20 social members. The Club was established in 1910 and is the oldest bowls club in Watford.
The Club remained open during the pandemic and is now thriving! During the winter months we run a number of social events.
Our 2024 outdoor bowls season starts on Saturday 27 April and ends on Sunday 29th September
We’re always looking to maintain a healthy level of membership – and the Club goes out of its way to welcome new bowlers. We have willing, experienced players ready to coach those who are new to the game. And we are always keen to attract more seasoned players.
